Sea-level rise under climate change represents one of the most urgent challenges facing coastal populations. The least certain, but potentially most significant, component of sea-level rise is the melting of the Antarctic Ice Sheets. To address uncertainty in the Antarctic Ice Sheets' response to climate change, I present the models and statistical techniques which I will use. A key aspect of this project is stakeholder engagement. I aim to collaborate with policy makers shaping adaptation in coastal cities, and use their experience of working with uncertain science to inform planning decisions under different Antarctic melting scenarios. This will promote a more involved approach to science-based policy making, where research end-users are involved in shaping how research outputs are presented to support decision making. I am seeking your feedback on what sort of modelling and probability information you need to plan for your cities.
