Cheers,

Andrew

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated person to join us on a 7 weeks oceanographic cruise on board the British Antarctic Survey research ship James Clark Ross, departing in February 2019.

You should  prepared to undertake a sea survival course and a full medical.

Our team will take samples to measure CFC's and transient tracers within the waters of the South Atlantic to understand where the ocean takes up heat from the atmosphere and how ocean currents transport and redistribute that heat. The expedition is within the TICTOC (Transient Tracer-based Investigation of Circulation and Thermal Ocean Change) science program and the ORCHESTRA (Ocean Regulation of Climate by Heat and Carbon Sequestration and Transports).

If you are interested please contact Marie-José Messias
College of Life and Environmental Sciences
University of Exeter

Itinerary: Sailing from Stanley (Falkland Islands) on the 15th February 2018 and finishing at Stanley on 11th April 2019

Please circulate to anyone who you think might be interested.

Many thanks

Marie-Jose
