PhDs in Edinburgh: Arctic and Antarctic

Dear All,

I am currently advertising two PhD projects as part of Edinburgh's E4
Doctoral Training Partnership. Both are on nutrient dynamics and
environmental change in the polar oceans. One is Arctic and one is
Antarctic. Please see below for more information.

Feel free to get in touch with me if you have any questions. Please also
feel free to forward to candidates who may be interested. The deadline
for applications is 10th January 2019 at 1200.

How do climate-driven shifts in phytoplankton composition influence
carbon and nitrogen uptake and recycling along the west Antarctic Peninsula?
Supervisors: Sian Henley (U. Edinburgh), Keith Davidson (SAMS), Alex
Poulton (Heriot-Watt), Hugh Venables and Mike Meredith (BAS)
