Dear UKPN,
We are hosting a one-day meeting on detecting change in high latitude ecosystems on Friday 15th February in the Geography Department at Cambridge University. This event will showcase recent advances in monitoring vegetation change and highlight new technologies and data analysis tools to detect environmental change. We’re specifically looking for research into integrating field and plot sampling data, UAV data and remote sensing. We welcome participants from the research community in all aspects of high-latitude ecosystems including climate responses, environmental changes including anthropogenic factors, modelling, remote sensing, use of UAVs and big data.
This is a great opportunity to present your work, either as a talk or poster, especially for early career researchers, and to network with other researchers. This is an open science event, supported by the Global Britain Fund of the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, connected to a UK-Russian research project detecting forest change in northern Russia. This event is free to attend, and the deadline for registration is Thursday 7th February. Logistical details will follow.
