Welcome to the 2013-14 UK Polar Network!

Dear UKPN,

Just a quick "Hello" and update from this years UK Polar Network Committee, as elected at the AGM last month as part of the very successful Grant Writing Workshop held in Cambridge.

We have lots planned for this year, including a mentor panel at the IGS in Loughborough, workshops at the British Science Festival (Newcastle, September), presence at this years UK Arctic Science Conference, a Software and Polar Research Workshop (both at SPRI in September), and an outreach training event at some point in the year.  If any of these sound like your kind of thing, keep your ears open!

We also have a great new Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/ukpolarnetwork?fref=ts where we'll be posting details of upcoming events, jobs and open positions, and relevant media articles. "Like" us to receive news and updates.

For all those Tweeters out there, get following @UKPolarNetwork  At most of our workshops and mentor panels, you can now Tweet us to get involved if you can't be there in person! If you're at an event that other members would be interested in, get Tweeting!
