UK Antarctic Heritage Trust webinar Hand-built heritage: conserving Antarctica's wooden architecture

Dear all,

Just wanted to share our latest webinar that will be live tomorrow evening from 6-7pm GMT.

This month, we explore the hidden history of Antarctica’s post-war architecture. Discover how these amazing structures were designed using pre-fabricated panels and make-do-and-mend salvaged materials and built against the odds, and meet the people whose job it is to restore and protect them today.

Our expert speakers will highlight the challenges of conserving wooden buildings in remote locations and extreme Antarctic conditions and discuss the threat that climate change has on these structures as we look to protect their future.

To book your free place visit https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/antarctica-in-sight-live-hand-built-heritage-tickets-488579824407.

Please spread the word and I hope to join some of you tomorrow night.

Kind regards

Heather
