2-yr PostDoc for Polar Atmospheric Modeller at British Antarctic Survey -

2-yr PostDoc for Polar Atmospheric Modeller at British Antarctic Survey -

The British Antarctic Survey is looking for a Polar Atmospheric Modeler to contribute to the multi-national and multi-institutional H2020 project "Climate relevant interactions and feedbacks: the key role of sea ice and snow in the polar and global climate system (CRiceS)". You will use state-of-the-art observations to study how the changing polar oceans and sea ice (including its snow cover) control the polar aerosol and cloud lifecycles. In particular, you will develop and test improved model representations of polar aerosols and clouds in a global climate model (UM-UKCA) to assess associated climate impacts.

Please find more detailed information on the position and how to apply on the BAS web site:

For any further inquiries email Markus Frey (maey@bas.ac.uk) or Xin Yang (xinyang55@bas.ac.uk).

Closing date is 5 Sep 2021.
