iAtlantic Project Manager

A dynamic and adaptable Project Manager is required for a large new international ocean research project with partners across Europe, Brazil, South Africa, Canada and the USA. The iAtlantic Project is a 4-year €10.63M project funded through the European Commission's Horizon 2020 scheme, with 33 core partners, a wider network of associate partners and an international Advisory Board. The project's goals are to create an integrated assessment of Atlantic marine ecosystems in space and time.

The post holder will support the Principal Investigator and iAtlantic Coordinator (Prof Murray Roberts) in all aspects of grant and project management including monitoring of project delivery and budget, meeting EC reporting requirements, and fulfilment of objectives. You will also work very closely with the iAtlantic Steering Committee, PI's research team and University European Research Manager to ensure that the project is managed efficiently and effectively, and that both scientific and management aspects of the project are aligned and optimised throughout the project to the benefit of all stakeholders.

Excellent project and grant management skills with proven ability to effectively interact with multiple stakeholders are critical to the success of the role. The post-holder will also have experience of managing EU funded contracts and an understanding of European research programmes.

This post is full time and fixed term until the 31st May 2023.

Salary: £33,199 - £39,609 per annum.
