For those interested in the Southern Ocean

Hi everyone,

For those interested in the Southern Ocean, you might like to know that the initial version of the Southern Ocean Observing System (SOOS) Data Portal has been launched - see http://soos.aodn.org.au/soos/.  This is in its infancy at the moment, but might be a useful source of data in the future.

Additionally, there is a Royal Society meeting in July, entitled "New models and observations of the Southern Ocean, its role in global climate and the carbon cycle".  If you are interested in attending, you need to go to this webpage and request an invite: http://royalsociety.org/events/2013/southern-ocean-models/

Thanks,

Aisling
