We are delighted to invite scientists, artists, storytellers, educators, and innovators to contribute to an Arctic seaweed exhibit at the Arctic Circle Assembly. We are particularly interested in contributions from early career individuals (from any discipline, sector, or geography).
Our aim is to showcase the beauty and contribution of seaweeds to society across the Arctic and sub-Arctic. The exhibition will be multimedia* and be displayed at the Harpa Concert Hall in Reykjavik on the 18th of October for Assembly attendees to engage with.
We welcome submissions from anyone (you do not need to be attending the Assembly or be in Reykjavik to have your media included), but you will be responsible for shipping/bringing your contribution to us in advance of the event. We are able to print posters and small photograph prints on your behalf. You will be credited alongside your contribution. Unfortunately we do not have funding to compensate contributors.
Please send us your contribution or suggestions by the 30th of September. Email chloebnunn@gmail.com with questions, comments, and/or for a postal address.
We encourage you to circulate this invitation to your network.
*Possible contributions could include photos, artwork, educational resources, posters (research and/or non-technical), fashion, jewelry, designs, etc.. We are open to your creative ideas!
Kind regards,
Chloe Nunn, on behalf of the UK Polar Network as exhibition hosts.
