UK Arctic Science Conference 2023

Dear UK Polar Network members, 

I am writing as the call for abstracts for the 2023 UK Arctic Science Conference has been released. The conference will take place on 11th-13th September at British Antarctic Survey in Cambridge and is focused on all aspects of Arctic science taking place in the UK.

There are 9 sessions as outlined below:
  1. New findings and interconnections in sciences: Atmosphere interactions; Marine science; Terrestrial science; Cryosphere; Humanities & Social sciences
  2. Open Data: Sharing and reusing data to advance Arctic Science
  3. New technologies for Polar Science
  4. Remote sensing
  5. Educational innovation in Arctic Science
  6. International Cooperation and partnerships: Implications of political conflicts for the science communityWorking in partnership with Indigenous communities
  7. Inclusion & positive community action
  8. Net Zero & sustainability
  9. "Other" - we'd like to hear from you if you'd like to submit an abstract that doesn't fit within the subject areas above. We will consider how all submissions could fit into the final programme.
Additionally, the UKPN will be running a pre-conference session for ECRs on the morning of 11th September with more information being released on this in due course.

We would welcome submissions from all ECR's working in the Arctic regions to the conference. The deadline for submissions is June 9th 2023.
