Dear UKPN members
Svalbard Integrated Arctic Earth Observing System (SIOS) is organizing a week-long training course on AI applications in Svalbard (AI4Svalbard) during 5-9 Sept. 2022, in Longyearbyen, Svalbard. You can find more information regarding this training course here: https://sios-svalbard.org/AI4Svalbard. The application deadline is on 15th May 2022.
The course is intended for scientists, master/Ph.D. students, engineers and technicians with no or modest experience with AI and machine learning in their research. Basic knowledge of programming languages (python) is preferable.
This training course will consist of four components (1) lightning talks by eminent speakers from the AI field (2) lecture series and hands-on sessions by AI experts (3) field excursions and (4) mini-project development after the training course. There is no cost for registration but participants are expected to cover their own accommodation, travel and associated costs.
