Speaker needed for RGS Going Places event

Dear UKPN

We have been invited to have a speaker at the Royal Geographical Society 'Going Places' event this July. Going Places is aimed at college students who are considering taking geography at university. The day consists of lively talks and workshop to show case career options and progression associated with the subject.

Going Places: July 4th 2012 (More Info on event here). E-mail me if you are interested with a short statement addressing why you would be suitable.

The intention is to have a number of students talking about different fieldwork experiences. Each would only have to  speak for about 10 minutes. The RGS are looking for an Erasmus student, although anyone with experience abroad would be welcome! Possible points to cover below:
-1.       Describe your fieldwork experience – ie. where you went / how long for / what you did
-2.       How did you find out about the opportunity?
-3.       Previous experience of fieldwork – ie. did you do any at school?
-4.       Benefits / advantage of taking up the challenge of fieldwork abroad!
The RGS are very supportive of the UKPN, with their events leading to many networking opportunities. Presenting at one of their events would be a great addition to your CV!
