The Software in Polar Science 2024 event registration is now open. This event, hosted by the British Antarctic Survey, sponsored by the SSI and others, is an opportunity to train, network and view showcases, in a hybrid event spread across two days. The website contains all the programme details and the event is free to attend, either online or in person.
We'll be hosting a Python carpentry on the first day for people to introduce themselves to programming. The second day is a bigger day for people to attend to network, view showcases highlighting the use of software in polar research, listen to a keynote presentation and watch/contribute questions to a panel discussion on the importance of software to polar research and communities.
