United Kingdom and Greenland Arctic Bursary Scheme 2024/2025 An opportunity for United Kingdom-based researchers to apply for bursaries ranging from £5,000 to a maximum of £20,000 to support active participation in joint partnerships with researchers based in Greenland in the 2024–25 season. Applications are welcome from across the full range of Arctic environmental, social and cultural research themes, including: cryosphere, atmosphere, social and human, health, marine, and terrestrial research. Successful applications will support and develop lasting and empowering research and collaboration links between UK-based and Greenland-based researchers; to provide access opportunities for UK-based researchers to work with new partners in Greenland; and develop ideas for future international projects. The United Kingdom's Department for Science, Innovation and Technology – working with the Greenlandic Research Council, the UK Science and Innovation Network and the NERC Arctic Office – funded a new bursaries scheme which began in 2023. This call is for the second year of the initiative, which will support UK-based researchers working in partnerships with Greenland-based scientists in 2024-25. United Kingdom and Iceland Arctic Science Partnership Scheme 2024/2025 An opportunity for researchers based in the United Kingdom and Iceland to make joint applications for bursaries ranging from £5,000 to a maximum of £20,000 to support active participation in new science partnerships in the 2024–25 season. Applications are welcome from across the full range of environmental, geological, innovation, technological and emerging tech, AI, space, health, energy and social research themes. Successful applications will develop lasting and empowering research and collaboration links between UK-based and Iceland-based scientists; provide new access, learning and development opportunities for researchers based in both countries; and develop ideas for future international projects. The scheme is supported by The United Kingdom's Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, working with the British Embassy in Reykjavik, the UK Science and Innovation Network and the NERC Arctic Office, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Icelandic Research Council (RannĂs).
