Title: Current agenda of the Russian Arctic development
Join us in our first seminar of the Spring 2021 Online Seminar series, dedicated to UK-Russia research cooperation, this coming Wednesday 3 March, to listen to a seminar led by Dr Marina Kalinina, Adviser to the Rector, Northern Arctic Federal University (NArFU), Arkhangelsk and Vice-President on Interregional Cooperation at the University of the Arctic.
The seminar, entitled "Current agenda of the Russian Arctic development", will consist of 4 short presentations (followed by questions) aiming to introduce both the breadth of activities that NArFU is involved with to foster international research and educational cooperation in the Russian Arctic, as well as ongoing research activities by NArFU research teams. The four speakers and topics will be:
- Role of international cooperation in education and research in the Arctic (Dr Marina Kalinina)
- Biomonitoring in the Russian Arctic (Dr Tatiana Sorokina)
- Energy in the Russian Arctic (Dr Pavel Maryandyshev)
- The Russian Arctic: social and economic development and national legislation. Project "The Arctic Floating University" (Dr Alexander Saburov)
