View this email in your browser APPLICATION for a ship board training  on board the RV Polarstern June 2019   The Alfred Wegener Institute (AWI) jointly with the Nippon Foundation, POGO and Atlantos are pleased to announce a new call for applications to join a training cruise on board the Polarstern in June 2019. The training comprises a Pre-cruise training (landbased) in Punta Arenas end of May 2019, and the research cruise, starting directly after this workshop on the 02.June 2019 from Stanley ending 29.06.2019 in Bremerhaven, Germany.  25 berth and scholarship are available for travel to the departure port and return flight from Bremerhaven as well as live on board. The target beneficiaries are the ocean experts of the future and the programme will focus on training postgraduate students (Masters or PhD) of marine-related science and technology. Emphasis will be given to students from less equipped countries. Diversity of race, gender and ethnicity will be encouraged and will promote cultural exchange and understanding. Call for application is open from the 05.11.2018 until 30.11.2018. Successful candidates will be informed until the middle of December.
