I've had another email from a year 5/6 teacher at Boxted St Peter's Primary, Essex. Her class are 'learning about the ice age and how to survive in the Artic or polar regions they will be writing explanation texts and learning about the harsh conditions. I think the children would really benefit from meeting a real polar explorer!'
If anyone is keen to visit the school and available to do so within the next 7 weeks please reply to this email. The school will cover expenses and it is possible that the visitor could give two talks. One for this class and one for another year 6 class whose request I sent out last week.
