And surely most UKPN members fulfil the criterion of living more than 50 miles away from Lawrence, Kansas?

IGS International Symposium on Radioglaciology September 9-13, 2013 – Travel Awards
CReSIS (Center for Remote Sensing of Ice Sheets) will provide a limited number of travel awards to students, postdocs, and early career investigators, who wish to participate in this conference and require financial assistance for the purposes of travel. Applicants must live more than 50 miles from Lawrence, KS 66044 to be eligible for a CReSIS Travel Award.
The number of awards and the amount of money awarded will be dictated by the overall number of applications.
