Welcome to the ECR Speed-Science Session organized by the UK Polar Network and APECS Uruguay. This hybrid event is designed for Early Career Researchers (ECRs) looking to build connections and gain insights from experienced polar scientists. Join us for a dynamic session filled with icebreaker activities, creative networking opportunities, and a round-table discussion about the challenges associated with polar fieldwork. This three-hour workshop will be an opportunity to connect with like-minded ECRs together with presentations from three guest speakers. Our vision is that this session will provide the chance to make contacts during a busy conference, with endless possibility for future support, overlapping research topics and new collaborations.
